Diversity & Inclusion Strategy #2
We worked within a FM company and created their D&I strategy. There were four pillars to the strategy as follows:
Data – employee demographic data, how diverse is the company? Where do they sit in terms of national statistics and their competitors?
Assess – created and implemented a D&I survey, the questions were around leadership, belonging and career progression.
D&I Committee – we created a platform to give employees a voice on D&I matters. The results of the survey also drove the agenda of this D&I committee.
CSR – we created and implemented an employability programme, working with charity organisations within the community to support people back into employment whilst developing current employees
Outcomes
Business development - This project underpinned the company’s overall social value objective and in addition supported the business development strategy as the project was instrumental in supporting and winning potential clients. We were able to tailor the project to the needs of the business both externally (clients) and internally (employees).
Staff morale - This project increased staff morale through both the development programme and the social value impact.
Increased engagement - Due to the robust plan in place the company was able to engage with employees from all backgrounds across the business which improved engagement, promoted inclusivity, and set the company apart from its competitors.
